College Successful Tip

Learn To Say No
Dennis Nedry Can Say No
For example, an acquaintance of yours would like you to see a movie with him tonight. You made social plans for tomorrow with your friends and tonight you were going to study and do laundry. You really are not interested. You want to say no, but you hate turning people down. Politely saying no should become a habit. Saying no frees up time for the things that are most important.

How can you say no Politely?  Being Gracious, Kind, and Genuine!

Example - Thank you so much for the invite, however I going to have to pass this time.

  1. NOOOOOO *push forward directly on their face with the palm of your hand*

But really, if someone is going to be your friend, then turning them down nicely won't compromise anything. If it does then they aren't your friend gosh darnit.

  3. I used to have problems with it as well, but like the post and comments say, if your friendly and polite, real friends won't mind you setting priorities!

  10. Being honest and straightforward are the best ways, real friends and most normal people will understand that one days notice may not be enough time for people to free up their schedule.
